Day 2

 Today, we stayed on campus. In the morning, we watched The Princess Bride movie and held a seminar on it. The movie relates to medieval times because of the period it takes place. During the seminar, we discussed why it was important to have the story be a book and how the comedic aspects of the film make the film feel very strange. In the afternoon, I gave a presentation on embroidery and its history. After, we worked on embroidery. We learned different stitch types and the basics, then worked on our own. Some students made flowers while others made different designs. Some found embroidery challenging because it is very intricate and difficult.

day 9 (final day)

 today felt like a sad kinda day, where all the fun comes to an end. but we started the day by talking, then we went into doing pottery. we did pottery for a couple hours cause we only had one weel. we ate lunch. then we played a little game and for the rest of the afternoon we worked on finishing either glass or embroidery.  and that's what we did today.

Day 1

This morning, we discussed the activities and lessons we will be doing/having over the next 2 weeks. Then, we were assigned presentation topics to give a class on to our peers and given time to work on them till lunch. After lunch, we listened to a lesson given by Kat Kuntz on the Shakespearean language and Old English. During the interactive slideshow, students watched entertaining videos about Shakespeare’s works and the history of the English language. After this groups of students performed different scenes from Shakespeare's most well-known plays. Then popcorn read translations of common phrases in Old English and Middle English, before reading an excerpt from the original Bewolf. To end the day everyone answered reflective questions about what they’ve learned on the first day of J-Term. By Kat Diane Kunz

Day 6

We started today off by watching another film on building the castle Up until we left for Sword to Sword. Sword to Swordis a place where they work on fencing and HEMA. Hema is a medieval style of sword fighting which is what we were working on today. We had lunch a bit late today because we got back late for Sword to sword. later in the afternoon we were all working on different thing I worked on stained glass which is what most people worked on.
